GRADE 5 & 6
Middle School Highlights
Fifth and Sixth grade students encounter Jesus daily through Scripture, prayer, and song. We are focused on growing in virtue and developing our natural capacities in service of God and neighbor. We learn using a variety of resources, from textbooks to Chromebooks, attuning our senses, applying our intellect, and directing our imagination to all that is true, good, and beautiful. We are anchored in the wisdom of classical Catholic tradition while drawing from the best of contemporary practices in education.
Mr. Bolster, 5/6 Teacher
Mr. Bolster joined the St. Patrick School faculty in 2017 after a successful tenure teaching in public schools. He holds a BA in Sociology and an MS in Educational Leadership from Madonna University. Inspired by his parents’ examples and his early work supporting developmentally disabled individuals, Mr. Bolster’s vocation is rooted in the pursuit of human excellence modeled after Jesus Christ.
In the classroom, Mr. Bolster is a passionate advocate for Classical education, which he views as a vital way to anchor students in a strong sense of identity and purpose. Beyond his academic role, he serves as the Director of Religious Education for Divine Grace Parish. At home, Mr. Bolster enjoys life with his wife and six children, pursuing interests in home improvement, music, and the outdoors.
